I heard the voice
of the Lord,
saying,
Whom shall
I send,
and who
will go for us?
Then said I,
Here am I;
send me.
   We would like to share with you blessings and work of our God in Sympheropol. In September through participation of International Partnerships and Inter-Varsity of Ukraine, we had an official opening of our student’s Christian club--Victoria. Twenty-seven students from different cities of the Crimea - Sympheropol, Feodosia, Sevastopol, Yalta, Krasnogvardeysk, and even from Malaysia and Switzerland became members of this club.

    We had a barbecue picnic on the shore of Sympheropol’s lake. God blessed us and brought new people to us. We had 5 new students - unbelievers. Besides interesting games, a warm atmosphere, and good conversation, we planned the vision for the club. Our purpose is to attract young educated people to Christ. Our plans are to use relevant and modern methods to answer their questions through close relationships. Our next step is for the club “Victoria” to help renovate our city. The first action will be in November. By permission of a head of administration our club will paint with bright colors all playgrounds of our town’s poorly equipped regions. Also we want to paint the borders of central city circle in Sympheropol.

Since November 5, Club Victoria is working to produce a contemporary play of popular musical “Come down from heavens (above)”. The musical performance will take place at the universities and city squares. We are enjoying serving God to implement His commission here, especially, when we can have a good feedback from students and members of Club Victoria.

   Fatima said, “It was the first time for me when I was not afraid to be open with people. At the picnic I felt very comfortable and easy.”

   Larisa said, “I always have a complex when communicating with people, but with you it seems that I can relax and not to worry. I thought that people didn’t like to talk to me, that they were not interested in me, but here I can see a sincere care for me.”

   Ira who considers herself the Orthodox believer, said, “I want to pray together with you.”

   Max said, “I had a complex about my short height, but during the discussion “You are special” based on Ps. 139 and few first chapters of Genesis in Club Victoria, I realized that I was special and of big value for God.”

  God has given us lots of ideas for the ministry in Sympheropol. So, by that in one of our groups we started a game on basis of TV show “Great Supper”. The participants are very excited about it and everyone prepares their program. They want to have the best menu and program to please their guests.

  At the end of October we started the new computer group. And we have two unbelievers in that group.

  We also want to thank co-workers from Inter-Varsity of Ukraine – Yulia and Natasha. God blessed us through them in a very special way. They are always ready to serve and do it selflessly. We thank God that they are an inherent part of our Club Victoria.
