How amazing to see how God is working in people's hearts in small groups. Slava told us during one of the groups, 'Lately, I noticed that I began to compare and evaluate my actions according to God's commands and make certain conclusions.' And Elena, the teacher from college, told us that she shares Christian principles with her students.
Julia Tarasenko, told us about God's work in her life and how He has given her wisdom. The whole school celebrated Halloween. Every class was supposed to decorate their classroom with scary Halloween paraphernalia. Julia did not like this idea, but she decided that doing nothing wouldn't be right either. She suggested dividing a room in two parts. In one part of the room, they placed a big spider made of paper. But the biggest part of room was decorated with clouds and angels. Many people were amazed when they saw all that decorations. They were delighted by this contrast and by her idea to decorate the room mostly with light and peaceful colors. It was like a sermon about victory of light over the darkness.

Tania Petrova (a new staff worker): I am so happy to see how my former co-worker Julia Demianenko has changed. She is 22 years old; she is a very interesting, educated and nice girl. During the last year we have had conversations with her about spiritual issues more than once. At the beginning she was very skeptical, but then, step by step she began to pay attention to this-- though her opinion did not change. Her first meeting with IP was during a business seminar. There she met Ira and Anna. She liked them very much and kept visiting a business club. She also began to attend English groups twice a week (Ira's group on Saturday, and Annia's on Monday). I think that the conversations that she saw in groups and the relationships between people influenced her relationship with God. She participated in extreme games, and once she came to the Saturday service and actively participated. It was so special when at the last meeting of the English group on Thanksgiving Day, Annia asked everybody to say what they wanted to thank God for. Julia said that she could thank God for meeting with IP because her life has changed. Praise God!!!

We have some news about our English groups. First of all, we have 10 people for our intermediate group. Lena, one of the participants, has problems with her spine, so she can not sit, and she has to walk a lot. So, that is why she can not come to the group, but every day she goes for a walk with Zhenia and Demian. So, we can say that they have an outside discipleship. During those walks Zhenya found out that she considered us a church and liked to attend it. She has always thought of herself as a believer, and we helped her to understand God's greatness deeper and wider. So, now we can say that she accepted Christ as her Savior. Also Piter who is an unbelieving English teacher thinks more and more that a person can never fulfill all the things from the Sermon on the Mount by himself. Although he understands that he has to fulfill that. And this very moment he asked a question, 'How can I do that?' Other participants are very active during the discussion. They ask questions and try to find answers to those questions. Now we continue to discuss The Sermon on the Mount. We are planning to finish it by the Christmas Holidays, and it will be a good opportunity to invite people to the Birthday of The One Who Gave this Sermon.
