“It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance”.

(Luke 5:31-32)    Once at the Sunday service our pastor said that when we ask for our relatives and family to come to Christ some troubles might happen to them. God sends them circumstances that would make them think and accept Him as Savior. We could see the application of the sermon the next day. Ira Tugarina’s father,Vitaliy, has an alcohol addiction. So, when he got drunk this month he fell and broke his hand. At the hospital he was told that it was pretty serious and that he needed a surgery which would cost 1000 grivna. He didn’t have that much money and they decided to go to another hospital. Doctors said they would do a surgery for 600 grivna or more. The whole family was thinking about what do when Nila came to them for a Bible study group. Nila remembered a doctor that their pastor has a good relationship with. He helped him a lot in getting medical equipment. Pastor called the doctor, then Ira took her father to his hospital.
   The doctor regretted that they lost a lot of time and said that for the surgery and all treatment they would have to pay 400 grivna. Ira’s father was very surprised and thankful to God for finding him this hospital and this doctor. He knew that all people of his wife and daughter’s church was praying for him. He was an example of God’s miracle. Two days after the surgery, Vitaliy asked for his clothes and wanted to go to church. The doctors didn’t let him, of course, but he was reading Christian magazines and newspapers and was telling people in the hospital about God. He is looking forward to getting out of the hospital and going to church with his family. We are thankful to God for everything and pray for Him to heal not only Vitaliy’s hand but first of all his soul.
