I heard the voice
of the Lord,
saying,
Whom shall
I send,
and who
will go for us?
Then said I,
Here am I;
send me.
Bible study groups are the most important part of our ministry. Each of them is unique because they consist of people who are so different but at the same time so similar - they all long for friendship and love, for fellowship and care.
Our Cherkassy English + Bible group also consists of such unique people. It was started in October 2006 after the English school. Now 7 people come to this group - three students, two teachers, one engineer and a housewife.

   Irina teaches historyl. We met her last year in spring. She participated in the English school and even went to the Christian camp with us this summer. But Irina hasn't accepted Christ yet.

   Oksana Gurelya is a English teacher. She came to us through the English school too. Oksana considers herself to be a believer. She accepts Bible truths and even goes to the Orthodox Church. I am not sure if she knows Christ as her Savior. Her husband is coming to the elementary level of English.

   Anya Stonozhenko is a music student. She's been with us at the summer extreme camp, and we also invited her to the English school. Anya is very close to God but hasn't made the decision to give her life to Christ. For three months she's been coming to our Sunday services. She even went to the Leaders' Training conference in another city. Sasha Malamuzh had several talks with her about the importance of accepting Christ. And Anya is very open to everything that Bible is saying. She is absorbing the truth like a sponge.

   Luda Palamarchuk is a student at the University. She came to the group after the English school. Luda is very interested in our classes. She is taking an active part in all the discussions but hasn't come to Christ yet.

   Tatyana is an engineer. She is lacking relationships and fellowships with people and that's why she's been coming to our classes for two years already. She is even more interested in the Bible than in the English part. Tatyana accepts the truth, agrees with everything but doesn't want to come to our Sunday services even though we invited her a lot of times already. It's hard for her to say "no" to all the orthodox traditions. Probably that is one of the reasons.

   Aleksandr Bardzheev is a University student. Now he thinks he needs English more than he needs the Bible. He is going to the United States for three months in summer. He is not very active during the discussions but is listening very attentively and at least he doesn't deny the truth from the Bible. We were very pleased and surprised when he came to the Sunday service for the first time. He was singing with everybody and praying when everybody prayed. Praise the Lord! And then, after the service when we were drinking tea Sasha told us a story about his Grandma who took him to the church when he was a kid. He even accepted Christ but then turned away from Him.
Now he is somewhere in the middle. But even the fact that he came to the service shows that Alexander is seeking God.

   Luba is a housewife. She is a newborn believer and goes to the Baptist church. Her daughter lives in America and that's why Luba wants to learn English so she could communicate with her.
